WE got off to a great start when it told me I weighed less than our old, doctor’s office type scale.

If one actually bothers to read the directions, it is very simple to use and so far seems to give consistent measurements.

Unlike some scales, it doesn’t jump around if you don’t stand stock still, but settles in on a consistent weight.

It can be a bit unstable, so older folks may wish to think twice if they have balance probs. Or if they need a scale with grips.. this is beautiful clear glass or somesuch and might be slippery if you have wet feet.

Other than this caveat, it is recommended.

One thing which could be better is remembering the weight and body fat measurements from last time… it doesn’t do this.

We just bought a new Treadmill and plan on starting a diet plan once we return from vacation. So we thought we should buy a new scale to use as well. This scale is classy looking, and is pretty accurate. It has settings for either kilograms or pounds, it has 10 settings for up to 10 different users. When you initially turn it on, you will program it to your information such as gender, height, and age. Once you have done that you are ready to go, just step on and it will tell you your weight, water %, and body fat %. As someone else said in their review this item is not waterproof, so you might want to steer away from sitting it anywhere close to where it will or can absorb a lot of water. I have seen people store their scale next to their commodes and I would strongely suggest not doing that with this scale. If your commode overflows then it would ruin your scale.

This scale is very easy to use, easy to set up, and from what I can tell its very accurate with the information it provides you. I also like they way it looks. It costs alittle more than what I would normally pay for a bathroom scale, but now that I have the item and have used it I am glad that I paid the additional money and purchased this item. I always say you get what you pay for and in most cases that is very true. This in my opinion was a great investment and I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

We just got are scale in yesterday and right out of the box i had it working in no time. The instructions are pretty basic and its not hard to use at all! we have had no problems at all with it so far.

I’ve been very impressed with this Escali scale. It’s solidly built, sturdy, very attractive, has many features, has a high capacity, and perhaps most importantly it’s very accurate and consistent. It’s also very reasonably priced. I can’t really think of much to complain about. This is the only scale I’ve ever owned that I actually trusted. It’s certainly one of the best scales out there.

Worked right out of the package. Easy to understand directions and controls to program in different people for the body fat/water percentages. Also lives up to its high capacity name (unfortunately for me ).

I recently purchased the Escali High Capacity Bathroom Scale and I am extremely pleased with it. For years I have not been able to weigh at home because I could not find a high capacity scale in the local retail stores. Actually, I did not know they existed. To add insult to injury, I can not weigh at my doctor’s office because my weight fluctuated between 20-35 pounds above his scale’s 350 pound capacity. As a result of not being able to weigh, I could stay in denial when I gained or failed to lose weight. This scale is attractive, easy to use, and was very affordable and has been an added incentive to stay on my diet. I now plan to weigh weekly and have lost 5.2 pounds in the last week. I now have hope that I can achieve significant weight loss now that I can accurately chart my weight at home as often as I like. This scale is a God-send for me!

Looks like a great scale, but I had to send it back to Amazon (a process that was amazingly easy). The box the scale came in was clearly marked, “Not for use by persons with pacemakers or other implanted devices”…
So.. since my husband is getting a pacemaker this week, I had to send the scale back. It really should state that about pacemakers somewhere in the description, but, since it did not, I thought I would give everyone a heads-up.

I bought this scale after a 10 min search and review of products available at Amazon (lots of them available and my head was spinning).I decided to pass on the big brands (Conair, etc…) products because it seem to me they are all hit am miss (some are god some are really bad…too many choices and not consistent quality and too litle time to read all the reviews and choose a good one). I decided to buy this scale because is made by a company that specializes on scales only and they offer a 5 years warranty on their product so they must be confident in their products.
Compared to my existing scale (a gift from my friends, made by Healthmeter or something like that) this scale is very fast and the measurements are very good (good accuracy both the resolution and repeatibility…yes, I am scientist). I tried many scales in various local stores here in the DFW Metroplex and this scale feels more solid than any other that I’ve tried in the stores.
The fat measurement are simple to set-up(even a caveman can do it:), just enter male/female, age and higth) and they were were reliable in my case. I am a large frame guy, 5′11″ and 190 lbs, and get 18% fat and 60% water every single time I measured myyself for the past few weeks. Still trying to shake loose the 5-10 lbs holiday lbs Btw this is teh first time I decided to contribute a litle… so this is my first review ever

This is a wonderful and easy to use scale!! Like many other customers, we had our user numbers set up and running with in minutes. The manual was easy to understand, contrary to what other users said. There is not an athlete setting – just male and female – despite what Amazon claims.

To just weigh yourself, place your foot on the scale, wait for it to turn on (it shows 88888) remove your foot, and wait for it to set to zero, then weigh. If you’re wanting your body fat/water %, you have to use your user number that’s specified to your height and age. It seems like many people thought that the body fat/water % feature wasn’t working – you have to be in the user setting.

Although this is a high capacity scale, there is no minimum weight for it to be effective. Neither myself nor my boyfriend are over-weight or obese, and the scale works great and accurately for both of us. My favorite part is that it I can track how much body fat I’m losing instead of tracking my pounds lost (when you lose weight you tend to lose muscle too, unless you weight train, in which case you won’t see the pounds drop so much as see the fat slide off slowly). I like being able to accurately track my progress based on fat lost.

When I took this scale out of the box I was shocked. I almost didn’t purchase this scale because of how stylish the Escali TT200 looked. I did not realize this scale has a glass face, it looks awesome even sitting in my kitchen.

The display is easy to use and I was able to get this unit up and running just by reading one page of the instruction manual. I don’t understand why people are complaining about the manual, right when you open it up there are ten steps to guide you through a complete setup. A youngster could do it.

The scale was very accurate and is as solid as a rock. I come from a family where we are all pretty heavy and this scale held us up with ease. You can even stand on it with one foot and it won’t budge. It’s nice to see the body fat and water readings and they are accurate for the average user. Any body builder would probably get this measured at the doctor or with his/her physical trainer so I wouldn’t skip this purchase just because you don’t think the fat/water readings will be accurate.

For such a quality product I can’t believe the price. It would be foolish of you to pass up this product if you are looking to save a few bucks with something cheap.

Don’t worry if you are a heavy person. I thought I weighed over 400 pounds but I ended up being much less then that and with my new workout routine I can’t wait to see those numbers drop.

If you seriously think you are over 440 pounds first of all let me say I’m glad you care about your health and are taking the time to look into purchasing a scale. Your best bet would be the Siltec WS-1000L High Capacity Scale, as that will be able to handle anything under 1000 lbs.
